Who are the leaders?

Our leadership team is entirely made up of volunteers who enjoy running cub meetings! All adult leaders have training and a PVG check, and there is always at least one adult who is first aid qualified.

Bernadette Hand – Cub Scout Leader (Akela)
I have had over 25 years experience as a Cub Scout Leader and for 5 years was Assistant District Commissioner (Cub Scouts) in Northern District. I have received 2 Long Service Awards, a Commendation for Good Service and a Long Service Decoration. I am also Training Adviser for new Leaders to the District and have fulfilled all the obligatory Leader Training Courses of the Scout Association including First Aid. I have organised and participated in numerous camps, Pack Holidays, Sports Competitions and Football Tournaments for Cubs.

Fiona Williamson – Assistant Cub Scout Leader (Bagheera)
I come from a Scouting Family, with a father and brother who were both involved in Scouting from an early age. I myself first became part of the Scout Movement in 1990 when I joined the small Highland group of the 1st Tain Venture Scouts. At this time I was also a young leader with the local Cub Scout Pack, where I helped run activities and games.
After a break to go to University, where I studied Engineering, I came back to Scouting, completing my training as an Assistant Cub Scout Leader and have now been with The First Glasgow for over 8 years.

Bianca Scholz – Assistant Cub Scout Leader (Rikki)

John Flitcroft – Assistant Cub Scout Leader (Kaa)
